1. Press Conference on Capitol Hill Wednesday
Ron De Jong and I will be on Capitol Hill Wednesday for a press
conference (1:15pm) hosted by Rep. Steve King in the Judiciary
Committee Library. We will be formally announcing the "Where's
The Fence?" ad campaign as well as presenting over 660,000
petitions opposing amnesty. We will also be launching a
"Where's The Fence?" mobile billboard that will circle the
Capitol building during this debate.
Ron and I will be providing audio field reports from Capitol
Hill throughout the day. Go here to listen to these reports
and see the 7 different versions of the ad that are running
starting today:
http://www.grassfire.org/20042/offer.asp?rid=123350282. Update on Bush-Kennedy Amnesty
Our contacts tell us the all-important cloture vote is now
likely to take place Friday or Monday. This means every
day is crucial.
Meanwhile, senators continue to say that "momentum is building"
at the grassroots in support of amnesty. This is political
trickery. We need to aggressively counter this perception
with phone calls Wednesday and Thursday.
Talking Points:
1. I oppose the Bush-Kennedy amnesty bill.
2. Congress pledged 700 miles of fence. "Where's The Fence?"
3. Are you receiving more calls in support of or opposition to the bill?
Your Senators:
Sen. Burr (202) 224-3154
Sen. Dole (202) 224-6342
3. Ad air times on FoxNews and CNN
Hope you saw Lou Dobbs' feature of our "Where's The Fence?" ad Monday
night. We're receiving excellent reviews and feedback. Most often,
we do not know the specific times but we were able to get the
scheduled run times for these national runs (note: subject to
change without notice from the networks!):
All times Eastern
Fox News 6/6: 11:17am, 3:36pm
Fox News 6/7: 2:25 pm
Fox News 6/8: 3:17 pm
CNN/Glenn Beck: 6/6, 7:06 pm, 9:52 pm, 12:22 am
These are just the airings for which we have been able to
confirm the run times. The ad will be running more than 175
times this week alone and with the debate now looking like
it will extend into next week, I want to expand our airings.
Can you help?
Please go here to help air the ads and continue our many other
efforts to defeat this amnesty bill:
