As of this morning, September 4, 2007, Constitution Candidate Kevin Thompson has earned his place on the ballot in the Massachusetts fifth district race for Congress.  Thompson handed in to the Secretary of State's office close to 2700 hundred confirmed signatures, well surpassing the needed 2,000.  He will be listed on the ballot with the designation, Constitution Party Massachusetts.

In a nondescript room, two blocks from the American Capitol building, a group of Bush administration staffers is gathered to consider the gravest threat their government has faced this century: the testing of a nuclear weapon by Iran.

The United States, no longer prepared to tolerate the risk that Iranian nuclear weapons will be used against Israel, or passed to terrorists, has already launched a bombing campaign to destroy known Iranian nuclear sites, air bases and air defence sites. Iran has retaliated by cutting off oil to America and its allies, blockading the Straits of Hormuz, the Persian Gulf bottleneck, and sanctioned an uprising by Shia militias in southern Iraq that has shut down 60 per cent of Iraq's oil exports.

The job of the officials from the Pentagon, the State Department, and the Departments of Homeland Security and Energy, who have gathered in an office just off Massachusetts Avenue, behind the rail terminus, Union Station, is to prevent a spike in oil prices that will pitch the world's economy into a catastrophic spin.

The good news is that this was a war game; for those who fear war with Iran, the less happy news is that the officials were real. The simulation, which took four months, was run by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank with close links to the White House. Its conclusions, drawn up last month and seen by The Sunday Telegraph, have been passed on to military and civilian planners charged with drawing up plans for confronting Iran.

News that elements of the American government are working in earnest on how to deal with the fallout of an attack on Iran come at a tense moment.

On Tuesday, President Bush dramatically stepped up his war of words with the Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, whom the US government accuses of overseeing a covert programme to develop nuclear weapons. In a speech to war veterans, Mr Bush said: "Iran's active pursuit of technology that could lead to nuclear weapons threatens to put a region already known for instability and violence under the shadow of a nuclear holocaust."

He went on to condemn Iranian meddling in Iraq, where America increasingly blames the deaths of its soldiers on Iranian bombs and missiles. Mr Bush made clear that he had authorised military commanders to confront "Iran's murderous activities".

This was widely taken to mean that he is set on a confrontation with Iran that will culminate in a bombing campaign to destroy Iranian nuclear facilities, just as Israel bombed Saddam Hussein's Osirak reactor in 1981.

The president's intervention came just weeks after leaks from a White House meeting suggested that Vice-President Dick Cheney, who is understood to favour the use of force, has regained the upper hand over the Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Defence Secretary Robert Gates, who both advocate diplomacy and sanctions to isolate Iran. Mr Cheney reacted with fury when the State Department suggested that negotiations might continue past January 2009, when Mr Bush leaves the White House.

So the question is: did Mr Bush last week set America inexorably on a path to the next war?

Washington officials, with close links to the Pentagon, the State Department and the National Security Council, say that the speech was designed as a threat not just to Iran, but to America's Western allies, along with Russia and China, who have been slow to support - or who have opposed - UN sanctions against Iran. James Phillips, a Middle East expert at the Heritage Foundation, who helped devise the war-game scenario, said: "It is simultaneously a shot across Iran's bows and an appeal for the international community to do more to stop or slow Iran's nuclear programme."

A former White House aide added: "If this creates in the Iranians' mind a state of fear such that they back off, that helps your diplomacy. Bush is a political poker player. To play poker, you have to know when to bluff."

Mr Bush had another reason for speaking out, too. With General David Petraeus due before Congress on September 11 to report on progress on his "surge" in Iraq, Mr Bush wanted to make the case that a withdrawal from Iraq would boost Iranian influence there - in the hope that this would increase domestic support for his policies.

In Teheran, Mr Ahmadinejad was also quick to make the Iraq connection, but as an impediment, not impetus, to American adventurism. "We have an expression in Farsi which says, 'Bring up the one that you have given birth to first, then go for another one'," he said. "Let them do what they started in Afghanistan and Iraq then think of other countries." He dismissed threats of military action as "more of a propaganda measure than factual".

The following is an interview I did with Elizabeth Hayes Turner, co-author of “Galveston and the 1900 Storm” - a book about September 8, 1900, a day when a Category 4 storm hit Galveston, then a city of about 38,000, and one the most prosperous in Texas. After the storm, between six and ten thousand people were dead, and more than three quarters of the city was completely destroyed. Turner was, when we had our discussion, a professor of history at the University of North Texas.

I wanted to interview Turner to speak with her about whether any Federal aid was forthcoming to rebuild Galveston. Our conversation began cordially enough. But, when she discovered that I believe the Constitution forbids such so-called “disaster aid,” our conversation became - well - less cordial. Here’s the way things went:

Turner: No, there wasn’t Federal aid in that form at that time in 1900. So, what was sent were Army tents from the Spanish American and Civil Wars. Later on Federal money was sent to fortify the seawall around Ft. Crockett. The money to rebuild was from the state was in the form of a grant, a reduction in taxes for the citizens of Galveston. It was a very different America at that time. The Red Cross did come in and there were a lot of private donations. But for hurricane relief, I am unaware of any Federal money.

Turner then asks: “What is your position on Federal aid for disaster situations?”

Me: “Well, I am a Constitutionalist.” Mentioning Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, I say that if a spending proposal does not fit into any of these categories, “then Congress cannot spend the money.”

T: “You know, I don’t think I can help you after all. Because I believe very firmly that the Federal Government should have a hand in helping these [“Katrina”] victims. So, I can’t let my work be used in support of your view” (she had promised earlier to send me a copy of her book).

Me: So, where in the Constitution do you see any authorization for Federal disaster aid? I assume you believe the Federal Government should obey the Constitution and not spend money on just anything.”

T: Well, I think it’s in the elastic clause of the Constitution in Article I.

Me: I’m amazed to hear you say this since you just told me how this kind of Federal disaster aid was never thought of in, for example, 1900 when the hurricane hit Galveston. And, of course, this Federal aid was not thought of because it was believed to be un-Constitutional.

T: Well, historically it did not happen for Galveston but that doesn’t mean I agree with that. But, I don’t believe it’s that way any more. I hope we have evolved since then.

Me: But, the Constitution does not evolve.

T: It evolves every time there’s a Supreme Court decision [in this area] - (!!!).

Me: No, the Constitution is fixed.

T: It is not fixed.

Me: And this evolving Constitution idea is why, among other things, we have a $400 billion annual Federal budget deficit now.

T: That’s the Congress.

Me: Right!, because the Congress does not follow the Constitution! Congress sees the Federal treasury as a piggy-bank out of which to spend money on any thing regardless of what the Constitution says!

T: And it’s a Republican Administration that’s doing this.

Q: I agree and that’s a disgrace. But, our Founders did not believe this. They believed in the Constitution and if it was not followed this was illegal, a crime!

T: That’s your opinion.

Me: No, it’s not. That’s what they believed.

T: Yes, they did. But, how do we know their intentions?

Me: A lot of ways. Read the debates about the Constitution by the Founders.

T: And the Constitution is a living document. If it was not, then it would no longer be in existence.

Me: Well, in Washington DC the Constitution does not exist. It’s a dead letter. The Congress ignores it! And that’s sad - and illegal.

T: I think your views are extreme.

Me: Well, my views are the views of the Founders. If this is extreme, so be it.

T: I think we’re on really different sides of the political line.

Me: We are! I believe what our Founders believed; you don’t.

T: I do, too; I just interpret things differently.

Me: Well, I’m with Thomas Jefferson who said: “In questions of power then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.” What do you say to that?

T: I don’t know what to say to that….I think the government must have the ability to be flexible in situations of emergencies like [that caused by Hurricane Katrina.]

Me: Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

During a speech for the conservative-libertarian think-tank the Cato Institute, best selling author and political satirist P.J. O'Rourke quipped: "If you think healthcare is expensive now, just wait and see how expensive it is when it's free."

During an election season, healthcare becomes the carrot liberals use to entice American voters, according to several Washington observers.

"During election cycles, the liberal-left and their news media comrades scare the hell out of Americans, who are told they'll be left to die in the streets by an uncaring medical profession. In the topsy-turvy world of journalism, shylock lawyers are the good-guys and physicians and hospital administrators are the bad guys," said a hospital director -- currently being sued in New York -- who spoke to NewsWithViews.com on the condition of anonymity.

While most conservatives are fretting over the possibility of a Hillary Clinton or John Edwards healthcare system, few of them seem to be aware of the ultimate goal -- an international healthcare system run by the United Nations.

The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America summit in Canada released a plan that established UN law along with regulations by the World Trade Organization and World Health Organization as supreme over US law and set the stage for militarizing the management of continental health emergencies.

The "North American Plan for Avian & Pandemic Influenza" was finalized at the SPP summit last week in Montebello, Quebec.

With virtually no media attention, President Bush has shifted US policy on avian flu and pandemic influenza, placing the country under international guidelines not specifically determined by domestic agencies.

The policy shift was formalized on September 14, 2005, when Bush announced a new International Partnership on Avian and Pandemic Influenza at a meeting of the UN General Assembly, in New York.

According to Nathan Tabor, author of the best selling expose' The Beast on the East River: The UN Threat to America's Sovereignty and Security, like the liberal-leftists in the United States who desire a One World Government, the UN leadership sees itself as the vehicle to achieve that goal.

"The UN's goal really is world government. Most people in the [United States] believe the ultimate goals of the UN are benign. But this vision doesn't match the hard facts," warns Tabor.

The new International Partnership was designed to supersede an earlier November 2005 Homeland Security report that called for a U.S. national strategy that would be coordinated by the Departments of Homeland Security, Health and Agriculture, and US Department of Defense press release "NORTHCOM prepares for possible pendemic."

Under the International Partnership on Avian and Pandemic Influenza, President Bush agreed the US would work through the UN to develop a continental emergency response plan operating through authorities under the WTO, North American Free Trade Agreement and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.

There is no record that the Bush Administration presented the plan to Congress for approval. The US President appears to have entered into agreements with foreign nations and the United Nations in secret and without congressional oversight.

The SPP plan for avian and pandemic influenza announced at the Canadian summit two weeks ago embraces the international control principles Bush first announced to the UN in his 2005 International Partnership on Avian and Pandemic Influenza declaration.

"We are already very nearly at the point of no return," said Nathan Tabor, "and most Americans aren't even aware of the impending danger."

“Which Way America?”  - Program #131 – Airing 9/6/07

 

 

Which way America?  I’m Jack McLain for the Constitution Party of Florida.  With the Senate poised

 

to again consider amnesty for illegal alien immigrants, and Americans relaxed from its earlier defeat,

 

it’s time to again alert those 80% of our people who have favored closing our borders and expelling

 

illegals to let their voices be heard.  Sponsors of amnesty are determined to undermine the authority of

 

our laws.  Once again, we remind Americans that a condition of citizenship in the United States of

 

America is that the immigrant must have entered the country legally.

 

 

In this broadcast, I want to quote from a letter to former Mexican President Fox from an author who used

 

a “penname.”  He lived in Mexico for some time and was familiar with its people and its politics.  He

 

 stated that he loved the people but despises their political system.  He wrote that he wanted to bring his

 

 family to Mexico and was demanding the following:

 

1.  Everything including government services must be in English first and Spanish second.

 

2. All medical expenses are to be provided free of charge, and we expect to be granted equality in

 

medical services.

 

3. All official Mexican documents must be bilingual.

 

4. As we will have several grandchildren in your school system we will require them to be taught in

 

English and want them to be taught American culture and history.

 

5. Our grandchildren must be fed for breakfast and lunch in school.

 

6. All adults of our family are to be granted Mexican driver licenses on demand directly after arrival.

 

7. We do not plan to have automobile insurance, and will not be learning Spanish or Mexican road

 

signs and expect your police to overlook these issues; not to do so would be racist.

 

8. We will bring suit for any police action against us for any and all reasons because they will be

 

racist.

 

9. We expect all Mexican government employees as well as your local and national police forces to

 

attend diversity training, and to learn English.

 

10. We plan to obtain excellent employment in Mexico and to send between 50 and 70% of those

 

funds back to our relatives in America;  furthermore we plan not to pay taxes and don’t want to hear any

 

complaints about draining the Mexican economy.

 

11. We expect our children and grandchildren to attend college, university, and secondary schooling at

 

the cost of the Mexican government.

 

12. We demand that the various agencies of your government that deal in the general welfare of the

 

population be not allowed to communicate our citizenship status with any police forces.

 

13. We demand to be granted the right to vote and that none are to be allowed to check our citizenship

 

status at the voting poles.

 

14. We expect to see the American flag alongside the Mexican one on all public buildings and schools

 

15. We want Mexico to change its name to Ameriomex  because in the Mexican war we conquered

 

most of Mexico and gave it back to you. 

 

 

We are well aware that this is neither an outrageous request nor an unreasonable one.  After all, these are

 

the very demands made by your countrymen as they illegally enter our nation.  As we say up north here,

 

“what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.”  We look forward to your response in this forum

 

ASAP.

Free republics are not known to have long life expectancies. At the
ripe old age of two hundred and thirty-one, America is definitely
showing her age. She is long past her prime, and some are predicting
her demise. No, some are PLANNING her demise.

Thomas Jefferson and the other founders of this once-great country
believed there was a controlling cabal that was crafting America's
servitude. With the assistance of Heaven, they decided to fight those
forces. Pastors fought with fiery sermons from the pulpit; newsmen
fought with the power of the pen; statesmen fought in the halls of
congress; and merchants fought with the sacrifice of their material
gain. Together, they lifted Lady Liberty to her feet and defeated the
powers of darkness.

It took the global elite a long time to recover, but they have
reemerged with a vengeance. They are now on the precipice of
accomplishing what their great granddaddies failed to do: bring the
rebellious colonists under their power and control.

You see, we no longer have the will to resist servitude. Our pulpits
are too busy preaching a prosperity gospel; newsmen are in bed with
the forces they once disdained; statesmen have been replaced with
opportunistic, self-serving politicians; and merchants know no god but
money. Hence, it is left to a small--and I mean very small--remnant to
sound the clarion call for freedom and independence. Unfortunately,
few seem to be listening to their cries.

2010 seems to be a banner year for these designers of despotism. That
is the target year for the implementation of the North American
Community, which will unite the United States with Canada and Mexico.
The global elite suffered a minor set-back when the U.S. Senate failed
to pass the Bush/McCain/Kennedy/Graham amnesty-for-illegal-aliens
bill. But if you think that George W. Bush is going to let that bill
lie on the floor of defeat, you don't understand these people.
President Bush will do everything he can to implement some kind of
amnesty law before he leaves office. I would not be surprised if he
attempted some sort of Executive Order or Presidential Directive in
order to accomplish it. You see, it is absolutely essential to the
designers of despotism that our southern border be eliminated.
Absolutely essential.

Yes, I am saying it: George W. Bush is part of the global elite that
seeks America's entrance into an international New World Order. In
fact, all of the "top tier" presidential candidates from both major
parties will offer zero resistance to this obstinate oligarchy. That
is why it will not matter to a hoot in Hades if it is Hillary, Obama,
Edwards, Giuliani, Romney, Gingrich, or Thompson who is elected.
(Forget McCain; his presidential goose is cooked.)

About the only presidential contenders who seem to have a spirit of
resistance to these scheming scoundrels are men such as Ron Paul,
Duncan Hunter, and Tom Tancredo. Forgive me for saying it, but while
Mike Huckabee and Sam Brownback seem to be nice guys and may not be
directly involved in this collection of crafty clowns, they appear to
be either too naïve to understand their subterfuge or too weak to
oppose it. The result is the same either way.

There are men who do seem to know what is going on and would have the
chutzpah to throw the globalist goons back across the ocean (or better
yet, under it). I'm talking about men such as Judge Roy Moore, Jerome
Corsi, and Alan Keyes. However, the media and political elite in
Washington, D.C. and New York will see to it that these men are never
given the spotlight of public attention.

Perhaps one day the American people will wake up and realize that they
are being led as sheep to the slaughter. I'm just not sure that it
will be soon enough, however. 2010 is just around the corner.

There seems to be only one obstacle standing in the way of the
globalists: America's citizens are the most heavily-armed citizens in
the world. That fact must surely stick in the throats of the
globalists like a chicken bone.

Thank God that America's founders put the Second Amendment in the
Constitution. Without America's deep-rooted commitment to the right of
the people to keep and bear arms we would have been sold into slavery
decades ago.

Without the intellectual understanding of the principles of freedom
and the moral resolve to maintain those principles, however, guns, by
themselves, will only protect us for so long. In the end, our strength
and protection come from God, and not too many people these days seem
to be interested in His opinion.

Lady Liberty is walking very gingerly these days, and the path she
treads is laden with traps and quicksand. The globalists have their
hand-picked puppets positioned to take the reins from Dubya, and the
pieces of the puzzle are almost all in place. 2010 just might be the
year that Lady Liberty lowers her torch, folds her arms, and falls
fast asleep.

As for me and my house, we promise to never fit in with Bush's New
World Order. I don't know what that means exactly, but it is a
promise.

Dear Americans,

Welcome to the Minuteman Project national chapter recruiting campaign. 

Jim Gilchrist’s Minuteman Project, Inc. (dba The Minuteman Project), has created a new dimension in the fight to preserve our nation’s sovereignty, heritage, security, prosperity, and stature as a nation governed by the rule of law. 

The Minuteman Project began just over two years ago as 1200 patriotic volunteers assembled at outposts on the Arizona-Mexico border during April of 2005 to observe and report the most unprecedented invasion of the United States of America in its 231-year history.  But, the contest to save our nation cannot be won solely by assembling at outposts on the border.We also need Americans from all walks of life and from every part of the country to carry the minuteman message consistently to our local city councils, our state governments, and through the halls of Congress in Washington, DC.

The Minuteman Project is expanding its efforts to establish a Minuteman Project chapter in every community in the nation…from San Diego, California to Bangor, Maine…from Anchorage, Alaska to Miami, Florida.

The efforts of the many fragmented minuteman groups, acting separately, have been loosely, and weakly, bound together by a commonality of purpose.  Yet, without the collective power of a national fraternity, immigration law enforcement advocacy groups cannot match the enormous clout of the combined influence of adversarial organizations who have banded together to force their way into U.S. territory in an effort to establish dominion over the United States of America by sheer numbers.

Americans, we are challenged daily by the combined forces of LULAC, MAPA, AZTLAN, MALDEF, MEChA, and LA RAZA (The “Race”), and their supportive organizations like the SPLC, the ADL, and the ACLU, who have aggregate financial assets of almost $1 billion that pays for their agendas to be run roughshod over mainstream America.

Much of the financial support for these adversaries of American heritage and our nation’s rule of law comes from taxpayer-funded government grants, corporate businesses whose huge profits are attributable to the overwhelming inflow of illegal aliens into the United States, charitable foundations, and from hostile individual donors.  Patriotic immigration law advocacy groups like the Minuteman Project, however, receive not one penny, not one red cent, of support from these sources of staggering wealth.

If we are to win this contest with out-of-control federal, state, and local governments and their corporate allies that together encourage, and engage in, the reckless disregard for the rule of law, then we must combine our human and financial resources to build a powerhouse of overwhelming economic and political influence.

We can do this, America.

We have only 15 months to build a multi-state network of chapters in numbers strong enough to influence the course of the 2008 federal and state elections.  That election cycle will determine whether the United States of America will remain a unified, sovereign nation governed by its electorate.  Or, will our nation become just another prey for the economic interests of transnational corporate empires, or anarchist fanatics whose goal is to plunder the principles established by our Founding Fathers?

The 2008 election cycle is our last chance, Americans.

Please join the Minuteman Project as an independent chapter today by visiting the Minuteman Project web site.  To submit an application to license an existing chapter, or start a new chapter, please download the application forms and licensing agreement by clicking on the “Start A Chapter” button on the Minuteman Project home page at http://www.minutemanproject.com     The Minuteman Project no longer charges any individual membership fees.  This will allow local chapters to assess dues to their specific members and use that money to help cover any costs of maintaining their local group.  There is, however, a $100 annual fee for registering your chapter as part of the nationwide Minuteman Project organization.

Thank you, patriots, for supporting the Minuteman Project.  Together we can change the course of this mighty nation and steer it in a direction of stability and domestic tranquility.

Kansas City Minuteman Attacked by LaRaza Minuteman Protection Program Continues to Defend Minutemen from Frivolous Lawsuits and Unfounded Claims  The United States Justice Foundation (USJF) has developed the Minuteman Protection Program in order to battle the guerilla war that is being waged to attack patriotic Minuteman volunteers. These valiant men and women are standing in the gap to secure the US from an illegal alien invasion. USJF stands vigilant to take legal action against anyone who seeks to do harm to Minutemen volunteers. We are on call to protect their mission to see the borders and coastal boundaries of the United States made secure against the unlawful and unauthorized entry of all individuals, contraband, and foreign military. Please Click here to Contribute to These Legal Battles!https://secure.responseenterprises.com/usjfmm/?a=309 Kansas City Minutewoman Attacked by LaRaza MPP Defends Rights La Raza, an exclusive, not inclusive, racially motivated group which actively denigrates “Anglos” and African-Americans, and which promotes bigotry towards anyone who is not Hispanic is threatening to move their scheduled national conference from Kansas City unless the mayor removes long-time community volunteer Frances Semler from the city's park board for her views on strengthening border security and enforcing the laws of our nation. There is, indeed, something troubling here. That a racially motivated group based outside of Kansas City feels it has the right to tell a city how to run their business and threaten economic boycott if it doesn’t get its way is the issue. The mayor's response should be "Hasta la vista,  La Raza.”  The fact that La Raza is encouraging the NAACP to do the same, "to play the race card," is despicable. This bullying move by "La Raza" literally, “The Race” is troubling; however, we must seize the opportunity for logic to shine down on their message. This will help the cause of law and order and will forever put a face on the problem—on one side stands a militant anti-American organization which advocates sedition and openly encourages a double standard of law enforcement based on ethnicity and "race"; on the other side stands an inclusive American movement consisting of millions of hard working, law abiding citizens who welcome loyal, legal immigrants and want the laws of our land enforced. Which group would you want in your community? Mrs. Semler is presented as the “bad guy” in this attempted shake-down for her association with the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps volunteers, a citizens’ inclusive activist organization focused on the goal of securing our nation's borders, both north and south, and supporting the rule of law.  La Raza, a dangerous, militant racialist organization is constantly attempting to intimidate and strong-arm politicians around the country with threats of violent street demonstrations and economic sabotage if they don't get their way.  Kansas City is simply the latest target.  And of course, politicians all too often are bending over backwards to appease this La Raza, racist organization based on economics and race-based political calculation instead of holding fast on principle. The mayor of Kansas City, the members of the city council and law enforcement officials should openly encourage La Raza to hit the road, and show support and respect for the local city leaders, our laws and communities and stand up for what attracts legal immigrants to this great country, the ordered liberty of a nation of laws. We encourage you to contact the mayor, city council and the media—as well as their local NAACP and ACLU chapters—and tactfully tell them to support the rule of law, LEGAL immigration, and to NOT cave in to the extortion and threats of the racist La Raza. U.S sovereignty is under a direct political assault waged by the open-borders advocates and their fellow-conspirators in the media. Minutemen are increasingly under legal assault from politically motivated liberal prosecutors and well-funded special interest groups. As a result, the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps and the USJF developed the Minuteman Protection Program (MPP). In the wake of victory over the amnesty bill many politicians have lost their focus. While the debate in Washington rages, thousands of illegal aliens pour into our country unchecked. Fickle politicians are quick to jump to safer-seemingly issues and greener political pastures. But there are those that remain stalwart and stand strong. They are those that stand for justice and press forward on their thankless journey toward a safe and secure America. The United States Justice Foundation is committed to making sure that we have the strength to secure our border. USJF works to watch the backs of those that need it most, the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps volunteers. These volunteers give tirelessly with all their heart and soul to make America’s borders safe. But there are those that would seek to bring down these brave volunteers by striking from the shadows.   Frivolous lawsuits are filed and unfounded claims are made against Minuteman volunteers. Some of the very people protected by their efforts are harassing and oppressing them. But never far behind the brave Minutemen is the USJF legal staff, quick to take action to counter false claims and allow the Minutemen to continue on their fight to protect America. The USJF brings to bear legal expertise and a passionate fervor to see that justice is done and that no harm comes to the Minuteman volunteers or their families. The Minutemen are the largest national Citizens Neighborhood Watch—Securing the American Border. The nearly 9,000 border watch trained volunteers of the Minutemen Defense Corps have reduced the unchecked flow of illegal aliens crossing the border in their patrolled areas by as much as 90%. On the other hand, the government has yet to take promised action and create an effective presence to defend our border, and it is doubtful they will do anything about it in the future. Because of their effectiveness Minutemen have been vilified and assaulted by liberals and even open-borders RINOs across all fronts. Minuteman volunteers have been sent hate mail, threats of bodily harm, and have been the victims of physical and legal attacks. While the brave Minuteman volunteers are out on the border and in local communities defending our country they are being undermined by fellow citizens whose security and national sovereignty they are defending.
