Leader, Jim Panyard, To Address Constitution Party
National Committee Meeting In June!

Jim Panyard
Jim Panyard retired in March of 2005 as President and CEO of the Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association. Jim is a longtime conservative activist, former journalist, corporate executive and has spent nearly all of his professional life in media, public policy, government affairs and politics.
Panyard has served as Senior Director for communications for Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia; Vice President for Government Affairs for the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce; Communications Director for the Pennsylvania Commerce Department; Deputy Director of the Greater Philadelphia Partnership; Director of Governmental and Public Relations for the Philadelphia Port Corporation and Press Secretary to former Wilmington, Delaware Mayor Tom Maloney.
Additionally, Jim was a government affairs reporter for the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin, the Wilmington (DE) News-Journal papers, the Elmira (NY) Star-Gazette and served as editor of Delaware Today magazine. Over the past year he has contributed articles to LewRockwell.com.
A veteran, Jim Panyard served on active duty in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 1968 as an intelligence analyst. He was the recipient of two Presidential Unit Citations during his tour of duty.
He attended the University of Pennsylvania and holds a masters degree from that institution.
Mr. Panyard has also served on a variety of boards including those of the Commonwealth Foundation for Public Policy Alternatives, the Allegheny Institute for Public Policy, Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week, Compliance Management International, Urban Family Council, Pennsylvanians for Effective Government and several others.
He is a devoted Christian and a member of Living Hope Church in Harrisburg, part of Sovereign Grace Ministries.
Jim Panyard was born and raised in Corning, New York, the son of a factory worker. He has resided in Pennsylvania for 30 years. He currently lives in Palmyra, Pennsylvania with his wife, Jill, and their two sons, Tim, 13 and Jack, 12. He also has two grown daughters, Jeanne Thoeny of King of Prussia and Grace Parfitt of Coatesville.
Panyard currently serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Constitution Party of Pennsylvania and,
last year, provided very effective leadership as the chairman of the Pennsylvania delegation to
the 2008 Constitution Party National Convention in Kansas City, MO.
